Chapter 3, 4 and 5

1. When Leslie explains that her parents have moved to the country to reassess their value structure, Jess observes. “But you’re the one that’s gotta pay”. What do you think Jess means? Do you aggress with him? Why or why not? In our group, discuss these questions. Can you think of situations from real life that are similar to the one Leslie faces?

2. Leslie says that her parents have moved to the area because they are “reassessing their value structure”. What things in life do you value? Explain why some of your values may change as you get older. Can you think of any values you have now that may never change?

1) I think that he means just because there parents move because they want too means that Leslie has to pay the price of moving again when she was liking her school, yes I agree with him because I kind of know what he means because I have switch back and forth different schools 8 to 9 times.
2) Things in my life I value you now is my friends but when I get older and have kids I might value my family more than my friends. Values I have now that will never change I don’t like I have any.

1. I think he said your the one whos gotta pay because her mother and father are going to ignore her because they are going to fix the house up and because of the school she now goes to and were they live. No I don't really agree with him because I am glad she moved there now jess has a friend his age to play with. whenn leslie goes to the back of the bus. if we sat in the very back of the bus at the end of school we would get booted out to.

2. That I value in my life are my mp4 and my cell phone. If I think I lost one I will freak because they are the most expensive things I have. The values might change when you get older because you are changing and you might get other stuff in the past. No I can't think of any values that will never change.

1.I think that Jess means gotta pay because if they fix up the house they got to pay for that and every thing else they do. I disagree With Jess because of Leslie moving there gave Jess another friend to play with and she will right next door.
2. The most valuable thing in life to me are my dog and my cats they are very important because i have every one of them for a reason. If i lost one of them or they died i would be really sad.

When I was younger I put a lot of value on my friendships. I cared a lot about what my friends thought. Now that I am getting "older" I find that I am coming to value my family more. I have fewer friends now, but we are a lot closer like famile. My family has also become my friends.
